The PIS modified data interface enables a public administration organisation to keep its registers up to date with regard to the data in the Population Information System. The service is suitable for updating large registers.

What do I need to use the interface?
Using the PIS modified data interface requires a data access authorisation issued by the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. Municipalities, hospital districts and joint municipal authorities have already been granted an umbrella permit for the use of the PIS modified data interface.
When placing an order for the PIS modified data interface, you must also provide a report on the protection and intended purpose of the data.
What does it cost to deploy and use the service?
During the deployment of the PIS modified data interface, the data agreed to be disclosed from the Population Information System is transmitted to the customer as a one-off event. Price of a basic data delivery: Data from the Population Information System EUR 0.011 per a person's data (a data unit).
Data unit fees are subject to a quantitative discount when the disclosure exceeds 2,900,000 data units. In these deliveries, the data unit fee is EUR 0.006.
The data information delivery is free of charge when a customer of the existing modified data update service becomes a user of the new PIS modified data interface.
After the basic data delivery, the use of the service is free for central and local government authorities.
